Freddie Blay beats them all

Former Convention People’s Party’s Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembele Constituency Freddie Blay beat 10 other contenders to become the First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr. Blay, a former First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, polled 2,933 of total valid votes cast at the 16th National Delegates’ Conference, to lead the pack.

He was closely followed by Sammy Crabbe, who polled 575 votes less.

Former Ashanti Region Chairman of the party, F. F. Antoh, secured the third slot as Third Vice Chairman with 1,813 votes.

The three were given a good run for their money by the likes of Michael Omare Wadie (1,166) and Shiekh TB Damba (1,118).
