Four killed in motor-bike accidents

Three farmers were killed on the spot at Afife when a Toyota Corolla Saloon car ran into the motor-bike on which they were travelling on from their farm last Thursday night.

One of the dead farmers was identified as Tsekpe aged 22 years.

A fourth farmer, who was also on the motor-bike is on admission at the Sacred Heart Hospital at Abor.

An eyewitness told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the accident occurred at about 1900 hours when the riders were about to cross the main Accra-Aflao highway.

The eyewitness said the Toyota Saloon Car, which was not registered sped off.

In a similar accident, a Toyota Saloon Car crashed into a motor bike at Avalavi near Akatsi killing one Fofovi said to be a motor-bike taxi (Okada) operator.

The other rider (a passenger) is said to be on admission at the Sacred Heart Hospital at Abor in critical condition

A source at Avalavi said the Toyota Corolla Saloon car with registration number VR 243-11 heading to Aflao from Accra crashed into the motor-bike while attempting to overtake another car.

A source close to the Akatsi Police confirmed both accidents.**
