Foundation donates to Wenchi Methodist Hospital

Wenchi, Aug 21, GNA- Miss Femke Vliedland of Horizon Holland Foundation of the Netherlands has presented a cheque for 38 million cedis for the construction of nurses’ quarters at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital.

She told newsmen that extra 38 million cedis will be sent to the Hospital by September to complete the project.

Miss Vlieland commended Miss Elly Meulenbroek who worked as a volunteer nurse, at the hospital, for sourcing for the funds. Dr Gabriel Wusu-Gowu, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital who received the cheque, thanked the Foundation.

He said the hospital is facing accommodation problems and appealed to benevolent organizations, the government and the Wenchi District Assembly to assist. 21 Aug. 03
