Former GNAT official donates land for Secretariat

Hohoe, Nov. 04, GNA – Mr Mike Senoo, a former Deputy General Secretary of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has donated three building plots to the Hohoe Municipal branch of the Association towards the construction of its multi-purpose Secretariat complex. At a brief ceremony to handover the parcel of land to the Association, Mr Senoo said the gesture was a social responsibility and urged GNAT to develop the land as quickly as possible to uplift its image in the area.

He appealed to teachers to be stewards of peace in the countdown to the December polls. Nana Pobee Asomaning Darko, Volta Regional Secretary of GNAT thanked Mr Senoo and his family for the donation and pledged that the Association would reciprocate the landmark gesture by developing the land into a multi-purpose complex in accordance with the wishes of Mr Senoo. He charged the Association in the area to strategise towards the realization of the dream as was being done by the North Tongu branch, which has almost completed its complex. He advised teachers to remain united and shun acts that would bring the noble teaching profession into disrepute. Ceremonial trees were planted to mark the occasion.
