Former AFAG leader to be deputy Communications Minister?

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is yet to name his deputy ministers but information gathered by Peacefmonline.com indicates that, former AFAG leader and the newly elected New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Candidate for Effiduase-Asokore constituency in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie is highly tipped to assist Madam Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.

President Nana Akufo-Addo named Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful as the minister-designate for the Ministry of Communications.

Explaining his decision to select the “iron lady” as the Minister for that position, President Akufo-Addo described her as a strong woman with power views.

However, she will be backed by another outspoken MP to beef up Nana Addo’s communication team.

Aside Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie who is tipped to assist the communications ministry  – names like Member of Parliament for Lawra, Anthony Abayifa Karbo, National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sammy Awuku, Former Northern Regional Secretary of the NPP Dr Clifford Braimah, Lawyer Godfred Dame and Lawyer Yaw Buabeng Asamoah are expected to be deputies in the various ministries.
