Foreign Ministry Investigates Ambassador

Foreign Affairs Minister, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has said his outfit is investigating an assault case involving Beninois Ambassador to Ghana, Monsieur Fadeler and a worker of ECG, Henry Ahiaku.

At a press conference yesterday, the Minister said there are diplomatic process to be followed once the case involves a diplomat.

According to him, if the case has any substance after investigations, then “we will find a way of dealing with it”.

Late last month, the victim, Mr. Ahiaku was reported to have been assaulted by the Ambassador and members of his household while on official duty to restore power supply to the residence.

Mr. Ahiaku who was rescued by the Cantonment Police is currently on admission at the 37 Military Hospital.
