Floods take over Brakwa market

Brakwa (C/R), May 7, GNA- The Brakwa main market has been experiencing flooding anytime there is rainfall.

Last Thursday, being market day for the community, rainfall displaced traders from their stalls and swept away quantities of wares. The rehabilitation of the market, though awarded on contract, has delayed.

The Market Women Association at Brakwa have therefore, called on the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District Assembly to contact the contractor to expedite action on the project.

When contacted, the District Chief Executive, Mr Sampson Kwame Anfako gave the assurance that the project would be completed soon.
