Zaare (U/E), Aug 03, GNA – Five persons have filed nominations to contest the Zaare Electoral Area seat in the Bolgatanga Municipality in the District Assembly Elections scheduled for next month. The are, Roland Atanga Ayoo, a teacher, Martin Awinzeligo, a teacher, George Gamson, an Accountant, Azuma Abiire and Helana Azure. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview on Tuesday, Mr Ayoo said when voted he would work hard in consultation with the chiefs, elders as well as opinion leaders of the community to bring about development in the area.
Mr Ayoo said he would also work hard to revamp the Kuure festival that was suspended a few years ago following a community clash. On the issue of women, the aspirant Assemblyman said he would mobilise them to go into viable ventures and also assist them to access credit facilities from financial institutions to establish and expand their businesses.
