A police source told the state-owned Daily Graphic the ring leader of the group known as Abdulai Alhassan Gariba, 32, is currently behind bars with four others.

The source revealed an AK-47 assault rifle was found hidden in the engine compartment of a taxi he was driving at the time of arrest.

In addition two magazines loaded with 32 rounds of ammunitions were also found concealed under the driver’s seat; a machete was found in the boot of the car.
