Five Fanteakwa Schools selected to for feeding programme

Begoro (E/R), May 12, GNA – Five basic schools in the Fanteakwa District have been selected to benefit from the NEPAD School Feeding Programme, the Director of Education, Miss Mary Animwaah has announced. The schools are Obooho D/A Primary, Asirebuso D/A Primary, Petefour D/A Primary, Bepoase Methodist Primary and Aboso R/C Primary. Miss Animwaah, who was addressing a meeting of school heads at Begoro said plans were advanced for the programme to take off. Under the programme, pupils in the beneficiary schools would be fed daily with local staple foods. The food will be prepared by kitchen staff to be recruited from the locality.

Miss Animwaah urged the School Management Committee (SMC) of the beneficiary schools to assist the Directorate to make the implementation of the programme a success.
