Fire ravages Oti Boateng SHS in Koforidua

Fire has ravaged portions of the Oti Boateng Senior High School in Koforidua in the Eastern region.

It is unclear what caused the fire which has so far burnt down the Boys Dormitory and some portions of the canteen.

Starr News’ Eastern regional correspondent Kojo Ansah reports that the development has left hundreds of the students without shelter. Their books and personal belongings have also been burnt.

Personnel of the Fire Service have arrived at the scene helping to bring the situation under control.

Deputy New Juabeng Municipal fire officer ADOI Amos Kaku-Kyi told Ansah in an interview that the authorities of the school delayed in calling in the fire service.
