Fire outbreak at Suhum

Suhum, Nov. 7, GNA – Fire gutted a house at Suhum New Town in the Eastern Region on Thursday, and destroyed property estimated over 5,000 Ghana Cedis. Items destroyed included furniture, roofing sheets, personal belongings, television sets, sewing machines, electrical garget, ceiling fans and gas cookers. Mr Kofi Mantey, the landlord, who is also the assembly member for Suhum New Town Electoral Area, told GNA at Suhum that Mr Samuel Donkor, a tenant, detected the fire at about 0230 hours. The landlord said the tenant raised the alarm and neighbours and a team of fire service personal from the town rushed to bring the fire under control.
