Fight between two women ends in tragedy

Adunku (Ash.), June 11, GNA – A quarrel that generated into a fight between two women at Adunku, a small farming community in the Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma District, turned tragic when one died from an alleged kick in the abdomen.

The body of the deceased, Akua Pokuaa, had been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) mortuary for autopsy. Police Chief Inspector Bossman Tuffuor, Officer in charge of the Jachie Station who briefed the Ghana News Agency, said the deceased was alleged to have picked a quarrel with Akua Gyebi, her in-law, resulting in a fight.

In the course of the fighting, Gyebi was said to have kicked Pokuaa in the lower abdomen.

Pokuwaa fell down, was unconscious and was to KATH where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
