Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/A) Oct.3, GNA – Fifty-two ward assistants of the Dormaa-Ahenkro Presbyterian Hospital in the Brong-Ahafo Region have ended a three week in-service training organised for them by the management of the health facility. The training which was aimed at updating their skills so that they could effectively handle their duties, exposed them to topics such as work ethics and patient’s charter.
Closing the workshop, the hospital’s General Manager, Mr. Fred Effah-Yeboah, asked them to show passion and loving care to patients and in the process enhance their human and professional relations with clients.
He challenged them to endeavour to pursue further education order to handle modern trends of health care, adding that the hospital was prepared to assist them in that direction. The hospital’s Medical Superintendent and Resource Person, Immaculine Yao Geraldo, urged the ward assistants to extend warm relations to those they meet in the discharge of their duties. A participant, Madam Amoateng, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the workshop did not only help participants to acquire more knowledge but also placed them in a better position to interact with people outside their profession. 03 Oct.09
