A 25-year old fetish priest Kwasi Frimpong has been sentenced to 9 years imprisonment by a Dunkwa Circuit court for stabbing a 15-year old motor rider Paa Yaw for money rituals at Dominase-Ayamfre near Dunkwa-On-Offin in the Central Region.
The Fetish Priest was said to have stabbed the motor rider last year November, 2015 on the Dominase road, when he (Fetish priest) hired the latter to ride him to his shrine at Ayamfre.
The Fetish who went into hiding was later arrested by the police and sent to court.
A Freelance Journalist in the area, Gilbert Bediako explained that the Fetish Priest attempted using the boy for money rituals for a woman identified as Nana Akua.
The Fetish Priest collected GHC25,00 from the woman, promising to double the money for her.
‘He consulted the Fetish Priest to perform rituals for her by doubling the money for her, the former who could not make her rich was pressurised to come up with a new plan, the Fetish Priest told the woman that he can only make her rich if he gets human blood, hence the attempted murder,’ he narrated.
