Farmer threatens to kill another with his gods

Asamankese, April 23, GNA – The Asamankese Circuit Court has granted a 2,000 Ghana cedis bail with one surety to Kwame Ladzekpo, a farmer, who threatened to kill a colleague farmer with “the help of his gods”.

Ladzekpo pleaded not guilty and will appear again on June 16. Police Inspector P.A. Cobbina told the court that the complainant gave a piece of land to the accused to cultivate. Ladzekpo cultivated five acres of the land with oil palm and when the palm trees were matured, the complainant went with him to the farm to share the trees equally.

After the sharing, the complainant realized that his portion had a shrine and he asked Ladzekpo to remove his gods. Ladzekpo got angry and threatened to kill the complainant with the help of the gods.

Prosecution said the complainant reported the matter to the police and Ladzekpo was arrested.
