Farmer in custody for defiling a 12-year-old schoolgirl

Twifo-Praso (C/R) March 30, GNA- The magistrate’s court at Twifo-Praso on Tuesday committed, Kwesi Ahenkro a 30-year-old farmer from Atti Morkwa to stand trial at a circuit court in Cape Coast for allegedly defiling a 12 year-old primary school pupil. Ahenkro whose plea was not taken was remanded in prison custody to be arraigned in a circuit court on April 10.

Prosecuting, Inspector Isaac Boamah alleged that in the night of January 31 this year, Ahenkro laid ambush and dragged the victim into an uncompleted building and defiled her, while she was returning from visiting her brother.

Inspector Boamah also alleged that a passer-by saw him and raised the alarm, but he managed to escape. He was later arrested and admitted the offence during interrogation.
