Farmer found died in the bush at Breman Kuntanasi

Breman Kuntanasi (C/R), Jan 12, GNA – A 31 year-Old farmer at Breman Kuntanasi in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District of the Central Region, has been found dead in the bush.

Kweku Mensah, who went to his farm on 31 December 2005 with his elder son, never returned home, his grand father, Opanyin Kobina Ayensu said ostensibly attacked by un-identified assailants. Opanyin Ayensu told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Monday that the deceased at about 1.30 pm gave foodstuffs to his son to be sent to his wife for evening meal but never returned.

According to him the late Mensah told the son that he was going to inspect his traps but never returned.

Opanyin Ayensu said when he failed to return home, a report was made to the Breman Asikuma Police and search party made up of the Kuntanasi Asafo Company and the security personnel was organised to look for him. He said after many hours of search, the body was found in the bush some distance away from his farm and deposited at the morgue of the Central Regional Hospital in Cape Coast awaiting autopsy. Opanyin Ayensu appealed to the Police to intensify their investigations to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of his grand son.
