Farm labourer defiles 14-year-old school girl

Akyem Swedru, Dec. 06 GNA – An Akyem Swedru Circuit Court on Wednesday remanded Kwabena Mensah, a 23-year-old farm labourer, into police custody for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old schoolgirl at Akyem Bontodiase in the Birim North District.

Mensah, who pleaded not guilty, will re-appear on December 12. Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Ben Osei Kwadwo told the court that the victim, a class six pupil, sells kerosene for her mother in the evenings.

The victim later reported the incident to her brother and a report was made to the police who arrested him.
