Executives of Nkrumah Pan African Research Centre formed

Winneba (C/R), March 15, GNA – A six-member executive committee of the Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Pan African Research Centre has been formed in Winneba to see to the effective running of the centre. They include Mr Kojo Haizel, Founder/Director, Alhaji Fuseini Abdulai, a lecturer of the University of Education, Winneba as Chairman, with Mr Arko Sam as Vice-Chairman.

The rest are Mr Godfred Akrofi, Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr Paul Kodwo Yankey, Secretary and Mr Stephen Acquaye-Pratt as Organizing Secretary.

The Centre is aimed at propagating, rehabilitating and documenting books and media works on Dr Kwame Nkrumah and organizing symposia on African political thoughts.

Alhaji Fuseini Abdulai, in his address, encouraged the executives to work hard to implement the programmes of the Centre. He said the Centre has books for adults and children on Pan-Africanism, Dr Kwame Nkrumah and other political figures involved in the struggle for independence and post-independence. The Chairman said the establishment of the Centre in Winneba is very crucial since the town has been the watershed of freedom fighting in Ghana and the rest of Africa. 16 March 09
