Evangelist calls for a halt of activities of false prophets

Akyem Oda, Sept 18, GNA – An Evangelist, Prophetess Esther Aboagye, on Monday condemned the activities of some false prophets which she said were responsible for conflicts and calamities in the society. She therefore appealed to the Christian Council of Ghana to put in the necessary mechanism to check the activities of those false prophets.

Prophetess Aboagye, who was speaking to the Ghana News Agency after a weeklong crusade at Akyem Oda, said some of those prophets nowadays had capitalized on the ignorance of their congregation to exploit them. “They have worsened the situation of the poor whilst they are abundantly enjoying” she said.

She therefore appealed to all leaders of religious bodies to find ways of helping their congregation in getting out of problems rather than hiding behind the scriptures to exploit them.
