Entertaining ethnic pride dangerous – Otabil

Founder of the International Central Gospel Church, Dr Mensa Otabil, says ethnic pride bodes ill for any country.

Speaking about how pride comes before a fall on his ‘Living Word’ series on Joy FM, Friday, Dr Otabil said it is dangerous for any ethnic group to see itself as superior to others.

He bemoaned the situation where certain groups treat others with discontent just because they do not speak the same language.

In general, Dr Otabil said “pride is dangerous because it sets in very slowly.”

“All of us are candidates, or we’re vulnerable to pride…it comes in so slowly that you don’t see it has arrived; so it’s something we have to take very seriously,” the ICGC General Overseer admonished.
