Energy Ministry embarks on Street Lighting Project in Jomoro

The Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, in collaboration with the Jomoro District Assembly, has embarked upon a special Street Lighting Project in the district to replace all faulty street bulbs.

The project would cover major towns in the District, while the MP has purchased a total of 150 bulbs for communities not covered by the programme.

The Member of Parliament for Jomoro, Wing Commander (RTD) Francis Kabenlah Anaman, announced this when he presented some of the bulbs to the chief and people of Ndumesuazo, near Bonyere.

According to him, the bulbs valued at GH¢97,000.00, were procured from his share of the MP Common Fund and the Social Investment Fund.

He said the Street Lighting project that started in October last year, had covered Elubo and Cocoa Town.

Other towns to be covered include Half Assini, Beyin, Bonyere and Tikobo No. One.

Wing Commander Anaman said Elloyin, Takinta, Allowuley, New Town, Half Assini Ewe Community, Ekpu, New Kabenlasuazo, Mpataba, Tikobo No two, Ngelekazo, Ellenda and Adusuazo, are among communities under his programme.

Mr Martin Eduku, who received the 10 big bulbs and their flames on behalf of the chief and people of Ndumesuazo, thanked the MP for his kind gesture.
