Eminent religious leaders to settle Mozama Disco Church dispute

A Committee of Eminent Religious Leaders would be set up after the Peace Festival celebration to find lasting solution to conflicts in the Mozama Disco Christo Church.

The Chairman of the Planning Committee of the Musama Disco Christo Church (MDCC), Nana Obokom Atta IX, made this known to the Ghana News Agency at Gomoa Mozano on Sunday at the climax of the week-long celebration of the Peace Festival of the church.

There has been a huge misunderstanding among the members of the church after the death of Akaboha II, Spiritual Head of MDCC, 40 years ago, resulting in several law suits.

Nana Obokom Atta said “no judge or lawyer can help find solution to the serious adversity that has hit MDCC over 10 years now”.

“It is unfortunate that some lawyers and even pastors of the church have built mansions as a result of the dispute,” he said.

Nana Obokom Atta, the Chief of Gomoa Dasum, said the two factions might not be satisfied but at least it would bring peace and development to the church.

Nana Obokom Atta assured the members that the problem would be settled to restore hope and image to the MDCC.
