Ghana Premier League side Eleven Wonders has undergone a major transformation, with the club officially rebranded as Legon Cities and set to relocate to Accra.
The development was confirmed by Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum, who disclosed that the change follows new ownership at the club.
“There’s a change of ownership. Eleven Wonders is now Legon Cities and they will play in Accra,” Asante Twum said on Sporty FM.
The move marks a fresh chapter for the club, which had been based in Techiman and known for its passionate fan base in the Bono East region. While some fans may feel a sense of loss over the relocation, officials believe the change will strengthen the club’s brand identity and help attract a wider following in the capital.
Legon Cities, once again part of Ghana’s top-flight football landscape, will now look to make an impression both on and off the pitch, with their return expected to add more excitement to the Premier League season.
