Low voter turn-out characterised voting in most polling stations in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam Constituency on Sunday for the Presidential Run-Off. Some electorate the Ghana News Agency spoke with said they
were interested in the parliamentary elections more than the
presidential. Six out of 371 registered voters at the Co-operative Shed
Polling Station at Nyatsiasa, in Ajumako Besease had cast their
votes as at 0715 hours. At the Methodist Primary ‘B’ Polling Station, 27 out of 518
registered voters had cast their votes as at 0730 hours. Again at Methodist Primary ‘A’ Polling Station 17 out of a
voter population of 552 had cast their votes as at 0735 hours. The Anglican Primary ‘A’ Polling Station at Bantama recorded
62 out of the total 803 registered voters as at 0805 hours. By 0815 hours at the Methodist Primary ‘B’ Polling Station
100 people out of 668 eligible voters had cast their votes. At the Anglican Junior High School at Bantama 86 out of the
473 registered voters had voted as at 0827 hours. There was no Security Officer present as at the time GNA
visited the station. The Post Office Polling Station saw 85 out of the 272
registered voters who came to exercise their franchise as at 0905
hours. At the SCMB Cocoa Shed ‘A’ Polling Station, 109 out of the
