Eight-year-old boy vows not to stay with father

Tema, May 15, GNA — As the world celebrated mothers’ day on Sunday May 14, eight-year old Master Desmond Hattor is seeking to re-unite with her mother.

He has vowed never to stay with his father, Mr. Richard Hattor, 37, a motor spare parts dealer at Ashaiman if he did not locate the mother. The boy has therefore, for the past seven months Desmond taken refuge with the Tema Office of the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DVVSU) formerly WAJU, staying with one of the personnel, Corporal Rita Torbigah who has now become his foster mother.

The ASP said the Unit is inviting relatives of the mother through Mr Hattor to reunite with Desmond to “enable him have his peace of mind to learn”.

Desmond, told the GNA, “my father provides me with everything, and even prepares food and we eat together, I watch television and read my books but still I want to see my mother”, he demanded.

He however, stated that “he started being harsh on me when I started been stubborn”.
