Eight Ahafo-Ano South communities want road rehabilitated

Mpasaso No 2 (Ash), May 23, GNA – Eight farming villages in the Ahafo-Ano South District have appealed to the government to rehabilitate the 12-kilometre feeder road linking Wioso with Asuokwaw to facilitate the evacuation of cocoa, timber and foodstuffs from the area.

The communities are Mpasaso No 1, Mpasaso No 2, Domeabra, Adadekrom, Oforikrom, Bonsukrom, Asuokwaw and Oseikrom. Nana Boa Amposem III, Twafohene of Mpasaso No 2, told the GNA that despite numerous promises made by the government over the years, the road continues to be in bad shape.

”Potholes have developed on it as a result of years of neglect and drivers spend over an hour to cover the 12-kilometre distance.” He appealed to the government to act speedily to salvage the situation.
