Effutu MCE decries poor academic performance in the area

Winneba (C/R), Dec. 7, GNA – Nii Ephraim, Effutu Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has decried the abysmal performance of junior high school graduates in the Basic Education Certificate Examination in the area. The MCE explained that the massive intake of students and improper supervision at school were some of the causes of the poor results. Nii Ephraim made this known when Ehe addressed the maiden Speech and Prize-giving Day of Nananom Senior High School in Winneba.

The theme for the occasion was: “nsuring holistic education for the adolescent: the key to effective human resource development.” Nii Ephraim urged parents to supervise their children at home to help improve upon the fallen standard of education in the Municipality. A Board Member of the school, Mr Samuel Danso advised the students to study hard to meet the challenges ahead. He asked them to be good ambassadors of the school by striving for excellence in their examinations.
