The Effutu Constituency of the Progressive People’s Party on Saturday organized its constituency elections to choose party executives in preparation towards the 2016 general elections.

The elections which took place at the constituency party office at the Victoria road in Winneba, saw famous and influential people in the Effutu Constituency contesting for the various positions.

The elections which started exactly at 8am prompt and lasted for two and a half hours, witnessed a massive turn-out, including delegates from all the polling stations across Winneba.

The newly elected executives included Mr. Samuel Ghanney, who won the Chairmanship position, Mr. Nana Ofori Owusu the First Vice Chairman, Mr. James Marshall Buah, Second Vice Chairman, Mr. Paapa Eshun, Organizer, with Mr. Joseph Nunoo, as the Assistant Organizer.

They all gathered at the residence of the 2012 parliamentary candidate, Nana Ofori Owusu, to show their joy and excitement over the peaceful, free and fair elections.

Nana made it clear to the newly elected executives, “It is only with commitment, dedication, enthusiasm, cooperation, well-planned strategy, good and straightforward non-promising and insult free message and hard work that would take PPP to power”.

Mr. Owusu added that the PPP national executives and the party are over for willingness of candidates openly contesting for the positions and accepting full responsibility for the course of the party.

“PPP is a party for the people and the people must claim it with joy, to own it,” he said.

He, therefore, called on each and every member, and all party faithful to be ready for “Soul Winning Campaign” now and forever.
