Baanafour (B/A), Sept. 13, GNA – Ms. Abigail Oppong, an educationist, has appealed to farmers at Dwenem and Baanafour in Sampa South District to invest in moringa cultivation in view of its economic importance. Ms. Oppong, who is the proprietress/headmistress of New Longlo Divine Provision Institute at Bamboi, was speaking at the inauguration of Millennium Preparatory and Junior High School at Dwenem.

She assured farmers in the area that the cultivation of the crop would help them financially to be able to cater for the education of their children.

Ms. Oppong, a 20-year-old University graduate and a citizen of the area, said they could derive numerous benefits from moringa and urged the people to embrace its cultivation.

An entrepreneur and the only Ghanaian who represented the nation at the 2011 International Development Summit Conference on Oil Extraction, she said moringa production was not only important for the extraction of oil but also its cost effectiveness.
