Education Reform Is To Provide Quality Education

Obo-Kwahu (Eastern Region), 8 Dec.,

The objective of the country’s education reform programme is to provide “quality, relevant and productive” education to individuals, useful to themselves, their communities and the nation as a whole. The government will therefore continue to pursue policies that will make education more accessible to its citizens, both young and old, to ensure the success of the FCUBE programme, Mr.. Kwabena Kyereh, Deputy Minister of Education said this is an address read on his behalf at the silver Jubilee Celebration and speech and prize-giving day of Kwahu Ridge Secondary Technical School at Obo in the Kwawu South District yesterday. He said since the government alone cannot shoulder the entire responsibility of providing education, school management and district education oversight committees are being established throughout the country to involve the community in the provision of effective education in the country. The Deputy Minister called on pre-tertiary schools to organise speech days and anniversaries regularly to bring all stakeholders together to take stock of their past performances and to plan ahead.
