Education oversight committee commends teachers

New Edubiase (Ash), July 28, GNA- The Adansi East District Education Oversight Committee has commended teachers in the district for their commitment and dedication to duty.

The commendation follows a tour of schools in the district to find out how the schools were faring and whether the teachers attended classes.

Nana Kwaku Amoah, Presiding member of the district assembly, who also led the team, said the committee was impressed by the attendance of teachers in class work.

He said the committee noticed that the teachers were punctual to school and the committee also found out that most of the teachers prepared their lesson notes well before teaching. He expressed concern about the inadequate number of teachers in the district and appealed to the Ghana Education Service (GES) to send more teachers to the area.
