Ecobank Manager’s murder: Police put Ghc5000 bounty on killers’ heads

The Ashanti regional police command has placed a Ghc5000 bounty on the heads of the killers of the Abrepo branch Manager of Ecobank Ghana, Richard Sallah.

Regional Police Commander DCOP Kofi Boakye told journalists on Friday that the bounty is aimed at encouraging residents in the area to volunteer information about the suspects.

DCOP Boakye also urged landlords in the area to form community watchdog committees to help fight criminal activities there.

The 39-year-old banker, who was also a Reverend Minister at Lighthouse Chapel International, was killed on Friday dawn at his home by armed assailants who took away his TV set, laptop and some cash.

Sallah was rushed to a nearby hospital after he was shot in the head at point-blank range.

He was declared dead on arrival by authorities of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.
