The Ashanti West branch of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has organized a public forum at Bibiani to engage residents on the company’s operations and services.
The forum brought together stakeholders including community leaders, assembly members, business operators, and ordinary consumers.
Officials from ECG used the platform to explain their work, address challenges faced by the public, and outline measures being put in place to improve electricity supply in the area.
Speaking at the event, the Ashanti West Manager of ECG, GEORGE AMOAH noted that the company remains committed to delivering reliable and efficient power to households and industries.
He also appealed to the public to promptly report faults, avoid illegal connections, and honor their financial obligations to the company to ensure smooth operations and further urged clients to pay their bills via the ECG power App or the **226#* warning people to reject illegal meters.He stated that customers who need transformer should write to their office for necessary arrangement to be made.
Ing. JOSEPH ANEERE, Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai ECG Manager revealed their plans to clampdown illegal connections within their catchment areas.
Some client participants expressed their plight in an interview with pressmen.
