Eastern Regional NDC Zongo caucus gets new executives

Fifteen new executives of Eastern Regional Branch of the Zongo Caucus, a group within the National Democratic Congress(NDC) was sworn into office at Koforidua at the weekend.

The group has Alhaji Baba Kankani as the Regional Coordinator, Alhaji Yusif Osumanu as the First Deputy Coordinator, Mr Ibrahim Seidu, Secretary and Hajia Fati Awudu as the Women Organiser.

Addressing the conference, Alhaji Yusif Captain, National Coordinator of the Zongo Caucus called on supporters of the NDC within the Zongo community to unite and come on board to form a strong force for the party.

He explained that, no organisation could succeed without good leadership and urged the members of the community to support their new leaders to succeed.

He asked the new leaders to be accommodating to attract more people into their fold.

Alhaji Captain said, the new amendment to the party’s constitution had given recognition to the Zongo Caucus and the National leadership.

He said the caucus would soon come out with a draft document to streamline its activities.
