E/R: Woman aborts baby at hospital

An unidentified woman has reportedly aborted a baby at the Koforidua Government Hospital in the Eastern region.

The incident occurred at the male washroom of the health facility Saturday morning.

The aborted fetus was five months old, Starr News’ Eastern regional correspondent Kojo Ansah reported.

The development was first reported by a patient who saw it in the bathroom while visiting to ease himself.

The New Juaben Police Command has ordered for the burial of the fetus after they visited the scene following an official report by management of the hospital.

The Municipal Police Commander DSP Richardson Kumeko told Starr News investigations have commenced into the matter.

He urged the public to volunteer information to help identify the culprit.
