Dzorwulu accident victims identified

Akwatia (E/R), June 2, GNA – The victims of the motor accident at Ebony Junction in Dzorwulu in Accra on Tuesday, in which a container loaded with timber fell from a truck and crushed a taxicab have been identified.

They were Mr Ernest Kwame Agyei, alias Kwame Ernest, his wife, Comfort Ama Sekyibea Kesse and their daughter, Nana Kyeraa. The deceased and the surviving driver, Nana Yaw, a nephew of Mr Agyei, were all identified as citizens of Akwatia.

A family spokesman at Akwatia, who disclosed the names to the GNA on Wednesday after the news about the accident was announced, said Agyei, who was based in London, was returning home and was met by his wife, daughter and nephew on arrival in Accra early on Tuesday, saying, they were on their way to Akwatia when the accident occurred. The newsbreak on Tuesday night threw the entire family and sympathisers into uncontrolled wailing and mourning till daybreak. 2 June 05
