Driver fined for traffic offences

Twifo-Praso (C/R), April 16, GNA – Stephen Yeboah Yankey, Manager of the Twifo- Praso Credit Union, was on Tuesday fined GH¢500 for careless and inconsiderate driving, causing harm and damage by a district magistrate court at Twifo-Praso. Yankey who pleaded guilty to the charges would be imprisoned for one year in default.

Prosecuting Chief Inspector George Okine told the court presided over by Mr Seth Bio-Nyamekye that, sometime in October last year, Yankey was travelling from Cape Coast to Twifo-Praso in his saloon car where he knocked down a pedestrian and also ran into two stationary vehicles, damaging them in the process and injured four people.
