Driver beats KMA official to pulp

An official of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) task force was on Tuesday afternoon beaten to pulp by a trotro driver for demanding money after the latter had wrongly parked in front of the Kumasi Cultural Center.

It all started when the KMA official confronted the driver which resulted in fisticuffs.

The KMA official believed to be in his 30s sustained various degree of injuries on his body.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver parked in front of the cultural center to load goods when the KMA official confronted him over the incident and demanded he pays some money as a dine for the offense.

‘The driver refused to pay the money he was fined,’ they said.

The matter has since been reported to the police.
