Dr Kwabena Adjei and two others to contest Biakoye constituency

Kwamikrom (V/R), Nov. 21, GNA- Dr. Kwabena Adjei, NDC Member of Parliament for Biakoye constituency on Friday announced his intention to contest in the 2004 general elections.

This brings to three the number of aspiring NDC parliamentary candidates for the constituency.

The two others are Mr. Kwaku Bandua, an Accra lawyer and Mr. Stephen Bafour Atom, a Consulting Geologist also in Accra.

Dr. Adjei who was addressing a party meeting said the fate of the candidates would be determined at the primaries scheduled between January and February next year.

He, however, promised his full support for any candidate who would emerge victorious at the primaries.

Commenting on desertion of some party members to the NPP, the MP said the hierarchy of the NDC realised the true and loyal members of the party only when the party went into opposition.

He advised all eligible persons aged above 18 years to register as voters when the registration exercise begins.
