Don’t reject postings to northern regions- Judge

Agona Swedru, April 3, GNA – Mr Emmanuel Kofi Sunu, a newly promoted Circuit Court Judge, has advised judges and other professionals to accept postings to the three northern regions. He said as professionals, judges should not view postings to the North or any other region as a punishment but rather should accept it in good faith.

Mr Sunu, the Agona Swedru Magistrate Court Judge who has been transferred to Bolgatanga as a new Circuit Court Judge, was speaking at the send-off party organized by the Staff of the Magistrate court in his honour at Agona Swedru.

He said whenever anybody is transferred to an area it means he or she is needed in that area.

Mr Sunu who was posted to Agona Swedru in his first working place as public servant, said the place has given him a rich knowledge on the bench and expressed the hope that this would be put to good use in his transfer to the north. He commended the staff of the court for their cooperation and hard work that had contributed to success in his three years stay at the court.

The Judge expressed his appreciation to the staff, lawyers, prosecutors and police officers of Agona Swedru, Winneba, Apam and Awutu who patronised his court during his stay. Mr Francis Kakraba, the Registrar at the Court expressed gratitude to Mr Sunu for his outstanding performance that brought about the growth of judicial dispensation in Agona Swedru and its surrounding towns and villages.
