Don’t Politicise Health Insurance Scheme – Quarm.

Half-Assini (W/R), Aug. 10, GNA – Mr Thomas Quarm, Focal Person for the Mutual Health Insurance Scheme in the Jomoro District has advised community executives of the scheme to avoid politicising it. He said this at a day’s training session for 70 premium collectors of the District Wise Mutual Health Insurance Scheme at Half-Assini on Monday.

Mr Quarm, who is also the District Director of the Non-Formal Education Division, said the health of the people was important and all, irrespective of political affiliations should work hard to make the scheme a reality.

He enumerated the benefits to be derived from the scheme and urged the people to cooperate with the officers in the mobilisation of the premium.

Mr Samuel Binney, a consultant of the scheme in the Western and Central regions, led the participants to discuss the compilation of medical and payment records of residents and other data collection processes. He advised them to propagate the health insurance message to the people in the various communities for the smooth takeoff of the scheme.
