Don’t Panic If You See Heavy Police, Military Presence on Sunday –

Accra, Nov. 15, GNA – The Police wish to inform residents of certain parts of Accra not to panic if they saw heavy Police and Military presence in their localities on Sunday during practical security simulation exercise in their areas. A release Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Bright Oduro signed on Friday, said the exercise would be carried out at polling stations at: Cocoa Clinic at Bubuashie; Bubuashie Antiock Academy; Bubuashie Global Revival Church; Kaneshie Church of Pentecost; Kaneshie One School and Kaneshie Two School.

Other polling stations to be affected are; Osu Chief’s Palace; Osu Cinema Hall; Osu District Education Centre and Achimota Forest. The exercise would take place between 0600 hours and 1800 hours. DCP Oduro, who is the Deputy Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, said the Accra Electoral Taskforce would undertake the exercise to test its preparedness to deal with any security threat during the December 7 2008 General Election and appealed to the public to bear and cooperate with it. 15 Nov. 08
