Dolphins Club donates to charity

Ashaiman, Oct. 18, GNA – The Dolphins Club on Saturday presented food items valued at three million cedis and an amount of two million cedis to inmates of the Missionaries of Charity, Sisters of Mother Theresa Home at Ashaiman, near Tema.

The items consisted of three bags of rice, beverages, four cartons of milk, loaves of bread, cooking oil, detergents, oranges, laundry soap and floor mops.

Sister Pauline, in-charge of the home, said the donation had come at an opportune time, when the Home was celebrating the beatification of Mother Theresa.

She said the gifts would be shared among children, the needy and the poor, who have been invited to the beatification celebration. There are 35 children in the Home, including orphans, in addition to 16 adult HIV/AIDS patients.
