Do not buy text books – GES urged parents

Accra, Sept. 8,GNA – The Ghana Education Service (GES) on Thursday directed that under no circumstance should heads of public basic schools give out lists of text books to their pupils to purchase. A release signed and issued in Accra by Ms Lydia Osei, Deputy-Director General, GES said new textbooks based on the revised syllabus would be made available to all pupils in basic schools latest by October.

It therefore, advised parents to refrain from the purchase of such books.
