Divine Healers Women Fellowship celebrates anniversary

Tema, Sept. 29, GNA – Ghanaian women have been urged not to allow themselves to be used in indecent advertisements which tends to demean their dignity. Mrs Diana Soti, Leader of the Women’s Fellowship of Tema Chapter of the Divine Healers Church, made the call at the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Fellowship at Tema on Sunday. It was under the theme; ‘Lord Jesus Christ the Light of the World”. Mrs Soti expressed regret that advertisements in the media and the dresses some women wore in recent times had tarnished the image of women. She said the issue concerning the dignity of women was crucial and that if that dignity was threatened, then society would also come under threat.

Mrs Soti advised parents to take active interest in the education of their children to enable them to grow to become useful citizens. She said it was only when children were given proper parental care and education that it could be of benefit to the nation. Mrs Soti appealed to politicians to work together as a team to ensure national growth and development. The fellowship, as part of the celebration, donated food items and detergents to some children homes.
