District Assembly receives 2.9 billion cedis SIF Fund

Breman Kokoso (C/R), Oct. 10, GNA- The District Chief Executive for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa, Mr Sampson Anfako, has announced that the Social Investment Fund (SIF) Management Unit has released 2.9 billion cedis, towards the cost of projects in the district.

He said the district assembly and the beneficiary communities contributed about 819.8 million cedis being 25 percent of the cost in the form of communal labour, sand and stones.

This was contained in an address the DCE delivered during the commissioning of eight completed SIF projects at Breman Kokoso.

The DCE said the first phase of the programme included the construction of a six-unit classroom block at Brakwa and Fosuanse, a three-unit classroom block and at Kokoso and Akurakese, and another three-unit classroom block with furniture at Kuntanase, an oil processing plant at Fosuansa and a clinic and nurses quarters at Anhwiam.
