Diesel shortage in Accra?

Rounds made by TV3 on Wednesday, August 13 cast a dark picture on supply of gas oil or Diesel in the Greater Accra Region.

Our reporter mentioned on Midday Live that the Ghana Chamber of Bulk Distribution Companies (BDCs) has attributed the situation to members’ inability to get letters of credit, without which the situation will escalate in the near future.

Sandra Amarquaye was at the Total Filling Station at Zongo, the Shell Filling Station at Nima and the Goil Filling Station at Nima on Wednesday.

The managers at all the stations reported that the commodity was not in stock, our reporter said.

Fears are rising the situation could affect petrol supply as well.
