DFP holds national delegates’ conference April 4-5

Accra, March 18, GNA – The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) will hold its maiden national delegates’ congress on April 4 and 5 to elect its flagbearer and other national officers, the Party said in a statement on Tuesday.

The statement, signed by Mr John Amekah, Deputy Secretary, Finance and Administration, said the congress would be under the theme: “Restoring National Hope and Confidence” and will take place at the Accra Polytechnic grounds.

It said nominations would open for aspiring flagbearers and other executive position seekers between March 17 and March 31, 2008. Forms for presidential nominations could only be obtained at the national secretariat while those for other executive positions are available at the national secretariat and regional offices.

“The DFP assures all Ghanaians and its teeming supporters in particular that the Party is as vibrant as ever and is poised to contest the 2008 elections and make a huge impact on the Ghanaian political scene,” the statement said. 18 March 08
